Building a future-proof tomorrow together
We are proud of our social role in the creation and maintenance of safe and accessible infrastructures and a sustainable living environment. However, our sector has significant impact on society, both as to the use of raw materials, and as to waste and emissions and biodiversity. This brings great responsibility, but also opportunities to make the world more sustainable. We therefore take an active role when it comes to corporate social responsibility (CSR). We do so together with our chain partners.
Sustainable Development Goals
Our CSR policy is based on the five pillars People, Planet, Prosperity, Partnership and Peace. These pillars also provide the basis for the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s), which should lead to a better world in 2030. We have integrated the SDGs in our CSR strategy. The corporate divisions of Strukton have selected the SDGs that are most relevant for their markets and stakeholders.
We put safe and healthy working conditions first, and we are committed to achieving circular operations by 2030 and reducing carbon emissions by at least 55% relative to 2009 levels. One way we will achieve the latter is by cuatting emissions on all construction sites to zero by 2025 and having CO2 emissions from business travel by 2030 in comparison to what they were in 2016. We are also seeking to schieve at least net neutrality in terms of our impact on natural capital by 2030.
