Strukton Groep NV and SPIE Nederland BV have reached agreement about the sale of Strukton Worksphere to SPIE. We entered into exclusive negotiations in November 2021 to prepare the sale. After approval of the relevant authorities, the negotiations have been successfully completed. On January 27th, the agreements were legally effectuated and the shares have been transferred. Worksphere is therefore no longer part of Strukton Groep.
The sale is a logical step for Strukton in the sharpened strategic focus on sustainable infrastructure. With its sharpened focus, Strukton is further strengthening its position in Europe as the leading service provider in the field of sustainable infrastructure, with a focus on green transport and electrification. These sectors are characterised by growing demand. The renewed strategy marks a return to Strukton’s rich history, building on a century of expertise.
As indicated by Gerard Sanderink, Strukton’s CEO, in November ’21, the sale offers both Strukton and Worksphere the opportunity to grow. Where Strukton will specialise more in sustainable infrastructure and energy, Worksphere will focus on the built environment, together with SPIE.
