On Friday, 31 March, the entirely renovated municipal office in Papendrecht opens its doors for residents and interested parties. This concludes the renovation which took place between June 2016 and February 2017. A great milestone for the municipal employees, but obviously also for Strukton Worksphere, as the contractor.

The old municipal house from 1991 needed a radical refurbishment and better sustainability to reduce energy consumption. To create a pleasant and healthy working environment for users, Strukton Worksphere has completely renovated the stripped building, for example with new installations, electrics and state-of-the-art measurement and control technology, including audio-visual system. All this in close cooperation and consultation with the municipality and other parties involved.

Curtain wall facade and sustainability measures
The curtain wall facade is a characteristic feature of the building. During the project, this was brought forward and the window frames around the building were replaced to improve their performance and deliver better insulation. Many other sustainability measures were also taken.

Modern and transparent
The result is a transparent and modern building that meets user requirements. The building radiates the image that the municipality wanted: low-threshold, accessible, inviting.

Open house on 31 March
Anyone who wants to check out the renovated modern 'society house' on Markt 22 in Papendrecht is welcome between 3.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. on 31 March 2017. During the open house, a video about the project will be presented, showing the metamorphosis in moving form.
