Full-Scope Expertise: Trackside and Onboard ERTMS

Strukton Rail is the only company with hands-on experience installing both trackside ETCS systems and components and onboard ERTMS systems. As a supplier‑independent partner, we work with all system vendors and integrate seamlessly into different technological environments.

Our combined knowledge of infrastructure and rolling stock allows us to support clients in installing new train control systems with maximum safety and efficiency. At the same time, our teams continue to develop advanced tools and methods that accelerate installation even further.

Proven Performance in the Netherlands and Denmark

Strukton Rail has extensive practical experience delivering ERTMS upgrades in the Netherlands and deploying ERTMS, CBTC, and ETCS across Denmark.

In Denmark, on behalf of Banedanmark, we are implementing the new signalling system in Jutland. The result: significant improvements in punctuality and reliability—demonstrating our capability in large-scale national rollout programmes.

Our specialists also maintain ERTMS systems in-house. This enables us to help infrastructure managers transition gradually from legacy assets to modern digital signalling with minimal interruptions to daily rail operations.

Innovating ERTMS Installation: Faster, Smarter, Safer

Strukton Rail is developing two unique innovations that enhance the speed and quality of ERTMS deployment:

1. ERTMS Configurator
A digital twin tool that models rail sections and configures the required ERTMS installation before work begins. This reduces preparation time, improves accuracy, and prevents delays during execution.

2. ERTMS Robot
A fully automated installation robot that installs ERTMS components trackside, based on the Configurator’s digital specifications.
